A scream makes me open my eyes.
I'm standing on a small hill in the middle of an endless field of dead, brown grass.
My hair is completely covered in flowers and petals.
I can hear a strange sound. Like breathing whispers, but no words I can understand.
And the faint sound of chimes off in the distance, but they are nowhere to be seen.
In a wide circle around me the grass catches fire.
The entire field is engulfed in seconds.
The flames grow near me slowly.
I am trapped.
All the sounds grow too deafening for me to bear.
My head aches and I cover my ears.
Then they all stop.
Then there is nothing but silence.
I look around.
The earth still burns, but its sky is still lit by the sun at its zenith.
I look down now.
My legs and arms have become ash, and start to fade and float away with the wind.
There is no pain.
There is no noise.
I blink and then the flames are gone.
Day has become night.
And I have become ash, and now fade away with the wind and the sounds.
